Classroom Update - Seesaw

Thank you to those parents that took the time to either download the free Seesaw app or sign in via the internet. Seesaw is a wonderful way to see pictures and keep up-to-date with the activities going on in our classroom. If you have not logged in yet and want you child's access code just let me know in the agenda and I will gladly send home another copy.

Some pictures you are missing out on:

Pictures of certain Read Alouds
Math activities - Here we played Kahoot! to review our math unit
Science experiments
Science experiments
Brain Breaks - Here we danced to Ghostbusters
Art activities
Like I have mentioned in Seesaw, my goal is for the pictures to start conversations at home. With some picture prompts hopefully your children can describe their school day with more detail.

Homework Activity Bags

Dear Families,

Fireball Red
Our new class pet Fireball Red brought homework bags with him. Your child will be bringing home weekly homework (sent home on Monday and please return by Friday) to help with many different skills throughout the year. One week may be numeracy based, others literacy and some life skills. This is an opportunity for you and your child to interact and discuss. The homework DOES NOT need to be done every night as I know schedules can get busy. Each activity bag has instructions, some materials and a follow up activity. Please complete the activity sheet together and return to school at the end of the week, along with all of the supplies found inside (ex. cards, dice, dominoes).

Have fun!

Ms. Kubara

ClassDojo

I am sure your child has shared their excitement about ClassDojo with you! ClassDojo is a web based program which I will be using to help build your child’s learning skills and work habits, and ultimately boost our classroom engagement. ClassDojo allows me to track students’ behaviours (positive AND negative) easily and efficiently.

Students gain points for:

Students lose points for:

****As you can see some of the negative behaviours count as zero and not -1. I want to keep this as positive as possible for the students!
