Homework Activity Bags

Dear Families,

Fireball Red

Our new class pet Fireball Red brought homework bags with him. Your child will be bringing home weekly homework (sent home on Monday and please return by Friday) to help with many different skills throughout the year. One week may be numeracy based, others literacy and some life skills. This is an opportunity for you and your child to interact and discuss. The homework DOES NOT need to be done every night as I know schedules can get busy. Each activity bag has instructions, some materials and a follow up activity. Please complete the activity sheet together and return to school at the end of the week, along with all of the supplies found inside (ex. cards, dice, dominoes).

ClassDojo

I am sure your child has shared their excitement about ClassDojo with you! ClassDojo is a web based program which I will be using to help build your child’s learning skills and work habits, and ultimately boost our classroom engagement. ClassDojo allows me to track students’ behaviours (positive AND negative) easily and efficiently.

Classroom Seesaw

I love to take pictures of our class and students! Today I signed our classroom up for Seesaw. The Seesaw app allows students to document and share what they are learning in the classroom. Once connected, parents will only be able to see their own child's portfolio. This will also be an easy way for me to post pictures in a secure way. Please look for sign up instructions in your child's communication bag tomorrow. There are already two pictures posted from today's Pajama Day!

Hi everyone and welcome to our classroom website!

Can you believe we are done our second week of school?! We have had a wonderful time getting to know each other over the past few days. We have had discussions about how special we are, Growth Mindset, being a good friend, making new friends, and school and classroom rules. As of yesterday we have a new class pet... "Bob" the fish. The students voted on the name out of our top four choices Bob, Jon, Fifi Jr., and Gold (Fifi Jr. came in at second place).

I will try to update this website as often as I can! You will always find a monthly calendar on here. I already provided some links on the right hand side for you to explore with your family. In your child's communication bag this weekend you will find usernames and passwords to Prodigy and Teach Your Monster to Read. Please let me know if you have any issues logging in.
